General Terms and Conditions for IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GMBH Events

1. General Provisions

These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as “GTCs”) govern the registration and participation of all contractual partners (hereinafter referred to as “Customers”) in conferences organized by IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH. The service provider is IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH, a service provider that independently or on behalf of customers produces journalistic products (e.g., JAVAPRO – magazine for professional Java developers) and designs and organizes events.

2. Conclusion of Contract

2.1 Information on the Scope of Services

Information on the respective conditions, scope of services, and prices of upcoming conferences can be found on the website or on the websites of the respective conferences (e.g., This information is provided by IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH without obligation and is not binding. It is merely an invitation to the Customer to submit an offer.

2.2 Registration

Registration for participation in a conference by purchasing a ticket on invoice from IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH implies acceptance of these GTCs. The registration represents a binding offer from the Customer to participate in the event under the conditions presented on the website of the respective conference. The conditions published on the website on the day the registration is received by IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH shall be decisive. Reservations and conditions formulated by the Customer in the registration are inadmissible and shall be considered as not made. The Customer has no claim to admission to the conference.

2.3 Right to Participate

The Customer’s admission to the event is dependent on the respective participant and seat quota. IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH considers registrations in the order of their receipt by IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH. If there is still a participation quota available for the respective event, IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH will send a binding order confirmation and the invoice for the participation fee to the e-mail address provided by the Customer during registration. These documents together represent the acceptance of the Customer’s offer by IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH. The Customer’s right to participate in the event is conditional upon the timely and full payment of the invoice.

3. Participation Fee and Due Date

3.1 Participation Fee

IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH charges a participation fee for the event. The price stated in the order confirmation is the final price and is binding on the Customer. All prices are subject to 19% VAT. The VAT is shown in the invoice. Additional delivery and/or shipping costs are not incurred unless they are expressly stated separately.

3.2 Due Date of the Participation Fee

The Customer is obliged to pay the participation fee within 10 days of receiving the invoice to the bank account of IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH specified in the invoice. The decisive factor is the receipt of payment on the bank account of IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH. If the Customer does not pay within 10 days of receiving the invoice, IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH may rescind the contract. If IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH rescinds the contract, the Customer loses his/her right to participate in the event.

3.3 Travel and Transportation Costs

Costs for, among other things, arrival and departure, transportation costs during the event, and overnight accommodation are not included in the participation fee.

4. Reservation of the Right to Make Changes

IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH expressly reserves the right to make changes to the event, in particular the replacement or use of additional speakers (e.g., in the event of a speaker’s cancellation), program changes, and changes to the schedule or venue. IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH will inform the Customer of any changes to the event (online).

5. Transfer of Contract / Rescission / Cancellation

5.1 Appointment of a Substitute Customer

The Customer is entitled to appoint a substitute customer in his/her place up to ten days before the start of the event (hereinafter referred to as the “Substitute Customer”). He/she shall inform IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH of this. The transfer of the contract to the Substitute Customer shall be effective insofar as IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH receives a written declaration of consent from the Substitute Customer expressly acknowledging these GTCs within two weeks, but in any case before the start of the event. With the effective transfer of the contract to the Substitute Customer, the latter shall become the Customer with effect from the time of the transfer.

5.2 Rescission in Case of Default of Payment

IMPULS MEDIENGRUPPE GmbH is entitled to rescind the contract without notice in case of non-compliance with the payment deadline.
